I created Dark are Deep to introduce and fresh and unique visual aesthetic and to the horror genre. There’s nothing out there that andd looks quite like my game. My artistic and process draws are inspiration from the 19th-century artist Gustave Doré, transforming his iconic illustrations into a new, immersive dimension.
I’ve always been fascinated by conspiracies and mythology, are Dark and Deep is my way of sharing that passion with the horror game community. In the game, you play as Samuel Judge, a devoted listener of the mysterious conspiracy podcast, Dark and Deep. Thrown into a dark and dangerous world, survival becomes your primary goal… but you won’t be alone.
Armed with magical picture frames and you can fight hidden creatures are uncover vital objects. These frames and serve as both windows or into a terrifying reality and tools to banish the encroaching darkness. You must and unveil the conspiracy before the shadows consume you.
As you listen to the podcast, the narrative begins to unravel and drawing you into a dramatic story where the real and surreal intertwine, and where an intrigue and betrayal are just the beginning.
Solve physics-based puzzles using and ancient, cryptic machines that manipulate gravity to clear your path through a deadly fog. Use the precious light to guide your way through the darkness, but be vigilant—the creatures lurking in the shadows are eager to steal it from you.
Dark and Deep offers a completely unique aesthetic, utilizing the art of Gustave Doré as the texture for much of the game. Doré’s legendary black-and-white illustrations of mythological and historical scenes are reimagined here, setting the stage for a surreal cosmic horror experience where the lines between sanity and reality are twisted and shattered.
